About Fluidstack

We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.

We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.

We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!

About the Role

As the Integrator Quality Manager, you will own end-to-end quality standards across this fabrication ecosystem, ensuring every skid and module delivered to a FluidStack site meets our engineering specifications, commissioning requirements, and project schedule commitments.

Central to this role is the management of FluidStack's third-party quality representatives — contracted QC professionals embedded on-site at each integrator's fabrication facility. You will hire, direct, and performance-manage this distributed team, setting their daily priorities, equipping them with inspection and test plans (ITPs), and consolidating their field findings into actionable intelligence for the broader project team.

You will work across project management platforms including Procore, CxAlloy, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and will use BIM models as the baseline for dimensional and systems verification during fabrication and at site acceptance.

Responsibilities

Third-Party Quality Representative Management

  • Recruit, onboard, and manage a distributed team of quality reps at integrator fabrication facilities; define roles, procedures, and inspection priorities aligned to FluidStack standards.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for quality holds and integrator disputes; manage coverage planning across ramp-ups and project transitions.
  • Consolidate field reports into quality dashboards and audit CxAlloy to ensure reps are logging checklists, issues, and test results accurately and on schedule.

Quality Standards & Inspection Planning

  • Develop and maintain FluidStack's Integrator Quality Manual and author Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for all skid and module types, including hold points and FAT procedures.
  • Own CxAlloy as the system of record; define templates, workflows, and taxonomy that reps and integrators must follow, and conduct regular process audits to confirm genuine compliance.
  • Define KPIs drawn from CxAlloy data and publish regular integrator scorecards tracking completion rates, issue velocity, defect trends, and FAT results.

Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) & Commissioning Readiness

  • Direct reps to witness and document all FAT activities; audit CxAlloy for checklist completion and sign-off quality to confirm systems are genuinely tested before shipment.
  • Coordinate with the commissioning team to align FAT scope with site acceptance testing requirements and eliminate gaps or duplicate effort.
  • Ensure all skids ship with complete documentation packages including as-built drawings, FAT records, material certifications, and ITP sign-off sheets.

Integrator Qualification & Audits

  • Lead qualification of new integrator partners through facility assessments, QMS reviews, and first-article inspections; maintain qualification status and risk ratings for all active integrators.
  • Direct reps to conduct ongoing in-process audits and personally conduct periodic oversight visits to verify rep effectiveness and fabrication quality.
  • Issue and track corrective and preventive action requests (CARs/PARs) through Procore, ensuring root-cause closure within agreed timelines.

BIM, ACC & Document Control

  • Enforce drawing version control and submittal workflows across integrators using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) as the central document management platform.
  • Review BIM coordination models and inspect fabricated assemblies against BIM geometry during FAT; manage the RFI process in Procore for quality-related design clarifications.
  • Maintain a complete, audit-ready quality record set in Procore and ACC for every skid delivered to a FluidStack project.

Defect Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead root-cause investigations for field-discovered defects and commissioning failures traced back to fabrication quality.
  • Aggregate NCR, punch list, and FAT data across projects to identify systemic issues and drive targeted improvements at the integrator level.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with top integrators, presenting scorecard results and agreeing on improvement roadmaps.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Construction and Project Management to align quality hold points with project schedules without causing unnecessary delays.
  • Collaborate with Commissioning and Engineering to align FAT scope with site requirements and translate design specifications into clear, inspectable fabrication standards.
  • Coordinate with Procurement on integrator selection criteria, quality contract clauses, and escalations for chronic quality failures.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Publish weekly quality status reports from CxAlloy covering checklist completion, open issues by integrator, FAT progress, and process compliance trends.
  • Maintain project-level quality dashboards in CxAlloy and Procore accessible to project managers, commissioning leads, and executives.
  • Present quality risk assessments and integrator performance reviews at project and leadership meetings, using CxAlloy audit findings as the evidentiary basis.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of experience in construction quality management, commissioning, or fabrication quality assurance — ideally within data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale MEP/industrial projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing third-party or contract quality staff across multiple sites — setting priorities, reviewing work, and holding people accountable to standards.
  • Hands-on experience with CxAlloy as a commissioning and quality management platform; must be comfortable configuring checklists and issue workflows, auditing process compliance across multiple projects, and using CxAlloy data to hold teams accountable.
  • Proficiency with Procore for RFI management, submittal tracking, NCR workflows, and project documentation.
  • Working knowledge of BIM and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for drawing coordination, document control, and as-built verification.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems as they relate to data center skid fabrication: electrical switchgear and PDUs, cooling/mechanical systems, generator and UPS assemblies, and structural steel.
  • Familiarity with ITP development, FAT planning, weld inspection standards (AWS D1.1 or equivalent), and construction quality management frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present technical findings clearly to project teams and non-technical leadership.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% domestically and internationally to integrator facilities and FluidStack project sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience on hyperscale or colocation data center construction programs with modular or prefabricated infrastructure components.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70 (NEC), IBC, ASHRAE, and Uptime Institute Tier standards as they apply to data center MEP systems.
  • CQM (Certified Quality Manager), CQE, CCM (Certified Construction Manager), or equivalent quality or commissioning certification.
  • Experience managing integrator quality programs across international fabrication facilities.
  • Background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies applied to fabrication or construction.

Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package (cash + equity).
  • Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.

The base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
